Christ University, a premier educational institution, is an academic fraternity of individuals dedicated to the motto of excellence and service. We strive to reach out to the star of perfection through an earnest academic pursuit for excellence and our efforts blossom into ‘service’ through our creative and empathetic involvement in the society to transform it.

Christ University in Bangalore, India founded in 1969 by the fathers of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate, the first indigenous Catholic religious congregation in India, is managed by the CMI. The CMI runs around 400 schools, 30 colleges and a number of hospitals at various locations in India. The college was granted deemed university status in 2008. It is spread over a large campus of 25 acres (100,000 m2) which is part of the 100-acre (400,000 m2) Dharmaram College Campus located in the central part of Bangalore city.

The college offers a range of nationally and internationally recognized undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in a variety of academic disciplines including Law, Business Administration, Commerce, Management, Humanities, Sciences, and Social Sciences. In addition, it offers professional courses in a number of fields including Business Management, Computer Application, Hotel Management, Mass Communication, Social Work,Engineering and Tourism.

Christ College was recognized by the University Grants Commission of India, (UGC) on June 17, 1972. It was amongst the first few colleges which volunteered for assessment and was accredited by the NAAC, a UGC funded body, in the year 1998 and reaccredited in the year 2005. Christ College has the distinction of being the first college in the state of Karnataka to be accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), for quality education. It is currently rated an A+ institution by the NAAC and was recognized as a College with Potential for Excellence.

School of Law

School of Law, Christ University (SLCU), Bangalore, is a part of Christ University, Bangalore, which was founded and is administered by Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). CMI, the first indigenous Catholic religious congregation of India with a membership of 2000, renders its service to humanity in educational, social, healthcare and other activities. The parent university, a premier educational institution, is an academic fraternity of individuals dedicated to the motto of excellence and service and already has a proven history of success in the field of education. Though it is a minority institution, Christ University maintains a secular in outlook towards education. Students of all castes, religions, creeds and languages are encouraged to be a part of this temple of learning.

Christ University, formerly Christ College had the rare distinction of being the first institution in Karnataka to be accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), UGC and reaccredited with an A+ in 2005 for quality education.In four decades, The Institution has become the most preferred educational institution in the city of Bangalore.

School of Education, Christ University is set up as a premier department for teacher training or teachers training institute to shape future secondary school teachers. The University situated in Bangalore, a strategic educational hub, is a sequel to manifold educational service initiatives launched by the CMI (Congregation of Mary Immaculate). School of Education, Christ University is dedicated to Jesus Christ, the supreme teacher, and draws inspiration from its educational visionary, Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the founder of CMI. Christ University, formerly College (Autonomous) was accredited with an A + by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC - 2005). The University is rooted in gospel values, mutual respect, personal maturity and integrity, teamwork and social concern.

Main Campus

Christ University is proud of its eco-friendly, serene & peaceful environment and deeply committed to upholding values system, it expects its students to conduct themselves in a worthy manner in their dress, demeanor and sense of discipline. They must respect their teachers, greeting them when they meet them in or out of the university campus. They must rise when the teacher enters the classroom; remaining standing till they are directed to sit, or till the teacher takes his/her seat. When the attendance roll is called, each one must rise and answer to his/her name or register number. Students should be seated in their respective classrooms at the stroke of the bell. Action will be taken against students found loitering about in the corridors and making noise.

Students are expected to make use of the library during free periods. Movement of the students in the corridors of the university buildings during lecture hours or sitting on the steps of the staircase or on the steps of the portico of the university is not permitted. Students must possess their identity cards, whenever they come to the university and show it to the persons concerned whenever asked for.

Congregating on the road in front of the university or at the entrance of the university is to be avoided. Students must drive their vehicles at the campus at a moderate speed. Smoking is strictly prohibited. Defacing any part of the campus is treated as an offence.

Students should maintain a sense of decorum and discipline at all times both inside and outside the university. Those who are guilty of serious misconduct or whose presence in the university is detrimental to the order and discipline on the campus are liable to be expelled.

Code of conduct on the campus include safeguarding the university property, keeping the place clean and tidy and dressing up decently. Boys are expected to be in full pants and clean shirts. Low-waisted pants with several large pockets are not allowed. Girls are expected to dress decently. Out of respect for Indian traditions, students should avoid wearing, tight, transparent, sleeveless, or revealing cloths and should dress appropriately.

Kengeri Campus

KENGERI CAMPUS is a lush green land of 75 acres situated about 25 kilometers away from the MAIN CAMPUS, 10 kilometers away from Bangalore University and 8 kilometers away from R V College of Engineering towards Mysore Road. This modern campus with play grounds and other sportive facilities is the hub of other Educational Institutions like Christ PU College - Residential and Christ University Faculty of Engineering and Christ University Institute of management

Christ University Faculty of Engineering was started in 14th September 2009 to promote quality Technical Education in Engineering. It strives to develop effective leaders in Engineering / Technology with ethical and human values to reshape the nation.

A B.Tech course is not just about theoretical subjects, practicals and projects, but about building character, enriching minds and creating insightful experiences that lasts a life time.

At CUFE-Kengeri, learning is not just a series of instructions but a passion, which goes beyond books, beyond instructions, beyond horizons. Here, we enable students to learn by capturing experiences and exploring new realms of wisdom.

Hostels

When you are in Bangalore for studies the best thing to do is probably finding some long-term accommodation. Christ University currently offers accommodation for female students within the university campus in "Jonas Hall" and for a few selected male students outside its campus in two hostels. Library

Library is the soul of any institution. It is a center of acquiring, processing, preserving and disseminating information to the user community with the motto of empowering knowledge, Christ University library has well trained staff and an automated library system to enrich the user community with a wide range of academic resources such as books, periodicals, online periodicals, databases, back volumes, CDs/DVDs, project reports, audio / video cassettes, and question bank.

Auditorium

A 2000-seater, air conditioned auditorium is one of the main attractions of the University. It is available exclusively for institutional and departmental programmes.
